The interpreter requires a reliable and robust internet connection, a computer, a headset, and a clear and stable sound feed. The audience requires access to the enabled interpretation channels.

Along with RSI, there are other variants, such as Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) and Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI).
