This add-on (Simultaneous Interpretation For Google Meet) is a tool that facilitates simultaneous interpretation on Google Meet, helping both listeners and interpreters for free.
This tool gives control to listeners and interpreters so they can establish a secondary interpretation meeting within Google Meet, and in order to facilitate interpretation. It doesn't function with live streams at this time; only on regular Google Meet sessions.
Without this extension, users must launch Google Meet in two separate windows at 100% volume for each meeting.
What it does:
- The interpreter or organizer creates a unique Google Meet link just for interpretation and distributes it to the attendees.
- After joining the main meeting, users (both interpreters and listeners) activate the extension, paste the provided link, and start.
